These premier “A” grade forest investment opportunities showcase the most productive regions of Oregon and are, quite simply, the best the Pacific NW has to offer. The offerings, described below in more detail, include the Wilark Timberlands Unit in Columbia County near Vernonia, the Willamina Timberlands Unit in Lincoln, Polk, and Yamhill Counties, and the Agness Timberlands Unit, in Coos and Curry Counties.
The Wilark Timberlands Unit totals 1,260± acres. It is rare that any timberland comes to market from this exceptional region, especially a near-contiguous block of this magnitude. This is a well-managed forest, with unrivaled growing conditions and unparalleled domestic and export market access.
The Willamina Timberlands Unit is 4,720± acres offered in 19 separate tracts. These tracts are located in Yamhill County, west and northwest of McMinnville; in Polk County along the eastern edge of the Coastal Range; and in Lincoln County on the western side of the coastal range all the way to the coast, stretching between Lincoln City and Waldport. The multi-conifer species growing sites on this property are outstanding and are known to produce some of the finest Douglas-fir in Oregon. The management of the property illustrates an effective even-aged, sustained harvest forest in coastal and inland environments. Transportation on and off-property is well established for efficient hauls to robust markets with multiple strategic regional mill options.
The Agness Timberlands Unit is in seven tracts totaling 6,650± acres. All seven tracts are located within a 40-mile radius of the town of Coos Bay. Both Douglas-fir and hemlock thrive in this environment, and these opportunities offer a strong Douglas-fir component. The property is managed on an even-aged basis and there are abundant opportunities for both domestic and export markets at competitive hauls.
The offering will be available in whole, by investment package, or any multi-package configuration via a single-stage bid process.
