With an estimated 154 million board feet of merchantable timber, aged 35 years and older, Chinook offers the prospect of consistent cash flow over the foreseeable future. The merchantable timber base is further supported by over 9,000 acres of premerchantable Douglas-fir and Hemlock plantations with an average age of 16.7 years.
The Seven Oaks Timberlands are 45,716± acres of some of the premiere timber growing lands found in East Texas. Seven Oaks offers a large percentage of upland sites capable of being logged in wet weather conditions. The property is highlighted by excellent physical and legal access. Seven Oaks is highly commercial timberland with a timber inventory of 1,015,368± tons of pine products and an additional 16,992 acres of fast growing, premerchantable plantations.
The Chinook & Seven Oaks Timberlands are being offered as a sealed bid sale with bids due on Thursday, February 19, 2009. The seller will accept offers on the entire Chinook & Seven Oaks portfolio, or on either region separately.
