Square Mile Farm

Located in the heart of the Taconic mountains with wide rolling meadows and a mature forest, Square Mile Farm is an inviting retreat on 644 acres with stunning pastoral views. On the farm is a light-filled 1988 four-bedroom home with an one-bedroom apartment and views of a pond and curvy mountains including Killington and Pico. The 1800s barn is an outstanding example of New England architecture. Most of the 96 acres of productive agricultural land are tillable and suitable for crops, hay, and/or livestock. There is a current lease to hay the fields, which are certified organic. Most of the land is conserved with the VLT and is in current use. Trails run throughout the woodlands.

The farm is a few minutes from the quiet village of Tinmouth, which was once the home of two Vermont Governors. Today it is a vibrant community of 600 people with big hearts. Hike, bike or ski up to the Tinmouth Mountain Cabin or join neighbors at the Community Bake Oven. A mile down the road is Squier Farm Stand with fresh produce, organic beef, organic A2A2 milk, and Sissy’s Kitchen take-out meals and bread.
