As Regional Manager and Principal with LandVest, Terry Sortwell has long been a leading presence in Maine’s Midcoast luxury market, representing distinctive coastal properties from Boothbay to the Blue Hill Peninsula, including the islands of Penobscot Bay and Muscongus Bay. A skilled negotiator with deep local knowledge, he is known for guiding complex transactions involving conservation easements, zoning or deed restrictions, sensitive environmental considerations, and multigenerational ownership.

Terry established LandVest’s Camden office in 1994 and, over the years, built it into one of the region’s most successful brokerage teams. He has achieved notable sales for clients including The Nature Conservancy, Harvard Management Company, Johns Hopkins University, Fiduciary Trust Company, and Bank of America, as well as many families and individuals. With more than $200 million in closed sales, he has completed a number of record-setting transactions along the Maine coast. Today, he works closely with his son, Joseph Sortwell, and remains a valued advisor and resource for clients and colleagues.
