Huckleberry Mountain is a 1,285-acre ± timberland property located in Johnsburg, New York. The property offers an exceptional recreational resource with a diversity of habitats and strong conservation values directly adjoining a 2,300-acre ± portion of Wilcox Lake State Forest and Crane Mountain. The timber resource offers a mix of northern hardwood (maple, ash, birch, etc.) and softwood (pine, hemlock) species across a variety of small pole to large saw timber size classes. A diverse array of habitat including mountainous ridgelines, forested mid-slopes, streams, wetlands, and deep valley floors provide a home to deer, turkey, bear, and other wildlife. Cyrstal Brook is a remote tributary of the Hudson River that passes through the southwestern portion of the property. Trails throughout the interior enhance recreational use. The property is located within 30 minutes of Lake George and Interstate 87 and is accessible from two points along South Johnsburg Road.
