Terrence Maitland

As a broker and principal of LandVest, Terry Maitland specializes in listing properties in such high-end markets as Boston’s Beacon Hill and Back Bay,  Cambridge, Brookline, Lincoln, Concord and Weston.  His familiarity with the high-end inventory and markets also makes him a highly effective buyer agent.

The Boston Globe featured Terry as a “Power Broker” and he was profiled in Broker Agent Magazine.  His opinions and views on real estate and real estate markets regularly appear in the regional and national press.  Terry works in partnership with fellow LandVest broker Nicole Monahan.

Significant Sales:  Terry has achieved record-breaking sales in numerous communities including Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Belmont, Lincoln, Concord and Weston.  Several of those transactions remain record sales today.  Terry achieved the existing record sale in Greater Boston with the transfer of the Quincy Adams Shaw House in Brookline at $18.5 million.  Nearly one-quarter of Terry’s top sales never appeared in the MLS system, and some have remained confidential.  Over the past 15 years, his sales have surpassed $720 million. 

Prior Experience:  Terry came to LandVest from the field of journalism and history and has written for numerous publications including The New York Times Book Review, Newsweek, Boston Magazine, Boston Business Magazine and The Boston Globe.  He is the co-author of five volumes of the Time-Life Books Series The Vietnam Experience.

Education:  B.A in English from Holy Cross College.  Master of Science in Journalism from Boston University.  Certificates from Belgium’s Louvain University and Harvard University Extension (in Administration and Management).

Organizations and Activities:  Terry is a long time volunteer for the Sierra Club and Habitat for Humanity and has performed service trips in the United States and abroad.  He is a 15-year member of the Acton Conservation Commission, and currently serves as Chair.  Terry is also a member of the Grievance Committee of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.
